Postecoglou in for Tough 'Fight' After Seven Winless Games at Forest

Ange Postecoglou’s tenure at Nottingham Forest has started with seven winless games, and the Australian manager admits he’s in for a “fight”—but insists he’s not backing down.

Following a 2–0 defeat to Newcastle, Forest sit 17th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone. Fans have voiced their frustration, chanting “you’re getting sacked in the morning” during the recent Europa League loss to Midtjylland.

“Seriously, what’s wrong with something being hard?” Postecoglou said defiantly. “I love a fight. I didn’t get here because of connections—I’ve picked fights with people I knew would beat me up.”

Postecoglou is expected to meet with owner Evangelos Marinakis during the international break to discuss the club’s direction. Despite the pressure, he remains optimistic.

“We’ll turn the fortunes around. It’s a struggle, it’s a fight, and there’s nothing wrong with that.”

Forest return to action against Chelsea on October 18, followed by a Europa League clash with Porto.
