'He's Not Alright' – Arteta Issues Worrying Rice Injury Update

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has issued a concerning update on Declan Rice, who was forced off during the 2–0 win over West Ham with back pain.

“He’s not alright because he asked me to come off,” Arteta said. “That’s very unusual for Declan.”

Rice had scored the opening goal against his former club, but his substitution in the 79th minute raised alarm bells. With Martin Ødegaard also injured, Arsenal face a midfield crisis ahead of the international break.

“We’ll have to assess him and see how he is,” Arteta added.

Rice is expected to undergo scans, and his availability for England’s upcoming qualifiers is now in doubt.
