AS Monaco Sack Coach Adi Hütter After Disappointing Start to the Season

AS Monaco have parted ways with head coach Adi Hütter following a poor start to the 2025–26 campaign. The Austrian manager leaves after two seasons and two months, having led Monaco to consecutive Champions League qualifications.

“Sometimes destinies move apart. I leave behind a quality team,” Hütter said.

Monaco sits fifth in Ligue 1 and has earned just one point from two Champions League matches, including a 4–1 loss to Club Brugge and a 2–2 draw with Manchester City.

Hütter’s tenure began brightly, with top-three finishes and attacking football. But defensive frailties and inconsistent results this season eroded confidence.

The final straw came in a 2–2 draw against Nice, where Monaco failed to capitalize on a man advantage.

🇧🇪 Pocognoli Incoming?

Belgian coach Sébastien Pocognoli is expected to take over. He led Union Saint-Gilloise to a historic league title and is seen as a fresh voice to reinvigorate Monaco.

Monaco faces Angers next, followed by a crucial Champions League clash with Tottenham.
