Ruben Amorim has made it clear: he’s not walking away from Manchester United. But he’s also not sugarcoating the reality—results must improve, and fast.
Speaking ahead of United’s Premier League clash with Sunderland, Amorim addressed mounting pressure following a string of poor performances, including a humiliating Carabao Cup exit to Grimsby Town and a 3–1 defeat to Brentford. United sit 14th in the table, and pundits like Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have called his tenure “a disaster.”
Amorim responded: “What makes me suffer is losing games, not losing my job. I want to fight for this. But if we don’t win, they will change us. That’s normal.”
He defended his tactical system, saying the 3-4-2-1 formation isn’t the issue—execution is. “I understand my players. I see the training. I follow my job this way.”
Despite speculation, Amorim remains committed. “Sometimes I want to quit, sometimes I want to stay for 20 years. But I’m not quitting now.”
