Official and ambitious: Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach, replacing Nuno Espirito Santo after a dramatic 24-hour managerial shake-up.
Postecoglou, fresh off a Europa League triumph with Tottenham, returns to Premier League management with a point to prove. Despite Spurs finishing 17th last season, his attacking philosophy and trophy-winning pedigree made him Forest’s top target.
Owner Evangelos Marinakis praised Postecoglou’s “proven and consistent record of winning trophies,” citing his success across Australia, Japan, Scotland, and England. Forest, now Europa League-bound after a seventh-place finish, are banking on “Ange-ball” to take them from contenders to champions.
Postecoglou’s first four matches are all away, starting with a high-stakes clash against Arsenal. His first home game will be against Sunderland on September 27.
