Ruben Amorim Under Fire at Manchester United: “I’m Suffering More Than the Fans”

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is facing mounting pressure after a string of poor results, including a 3-0 derby defeat to Manchester City and a humiliating Carabao Cup exit to fourth-tier Grimsby Town

Despite a £200M summer spend on attacking talent like Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, United have won just two of their last 13 league games, with fans and pundits questioning Amorim’s tactical rigidity and midfield imbalance.

Amorim remains defiant:

“I won’t change my philosophy. If they want it changed, you change the man. I’m suffering more than them [the fans]”.

He admitted to moments of doubt, saying:

“Sometimes I want to quit, sometimes I want to be here for 20 years”.

With co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe reportedly considering options, Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth has emerged as a potential replacement.
