Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has publicly confirmed his desire to bring Harry Kane back to North London. With a release clause of £57 million reportedly active next summer, Spurs have first option on their former talisman.
Kane, now 32, has won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich and scored 98 goals in 103 games. But with Alan Shearer’s Premier League record still within reach, a return could be on the cards.
Frank said: “There’s a lot of Tottenham fans—including myself—who’d love to see Kane back. He’s a top player. If he wants to join us, he’s more than welcome.”
The emotional pull is strong, but Champions League qualification may be key to luring Kane back.
