Despite the scale of the charges, the club—now under Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital—self-reported the infractions during their takeover due diligence. As a result, Chelsea are expected to receive a financial penalty, likely similar to the £8 million fine issued by UEFA in 2023. Sporting sanctions such as points deductions or transfer bans are not anticipated.
