Bayer Leverkusen Confirm Ten Hag Departure

Bayer Leverkusen have officially parted ways with manager Erik ten Hag just three games into the 2025-26 season, the club announced early Monday. The former Manchester United boss, who joined in the summer, oversaw a 4-0 cup win but struggled with a 2-1 loss to Hoffenheim and a 3-3 draw against 10-man Werder Bremen, where on-field disputes highlighted tensions.

Ten Hag’s exit, after only 62 days, comes amid reported friction with the hierarchy over player fitness and transfer decisions. Assistant coaching staff will take over training as Leverkusen seeks a swift replacement on deadline day.
