‘Worrying’ – Glasner Urges Palace Board to Act Fast in Transfer Market

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has issued a stark warning to the club’s board, urging immediate action in the transfer market to avoid a potential slide into Premier League relegation danger.

Speaking ahead of Palace’s clash with Nottingham Forest, Glasner didn’t mince words: “If we don’t do the right things now, then I’m worrying that it can go very quickly into the wrong direction in the Premier League,” he said.

With Eberechi Eze’s £67.5 million move to Arsenal all but confirmed and Michael Olise already gone, Glasner emphasized the need for quality reinforcements—not just numbers. “Even with these two top stars, Palace were fighting relegation. Now they’re gone. We need to act,” he added.

Palace have only signed Borna Sosa and Walter Benitez this summer, leaving the squad thin ahead of a demanding season that includes European competition. Glasner revealed that injuries to Eddie Nketiah, Matheus França, and Caleb Kporha have further depleted the squad.

“We need two more players—one at the back and one in attack. Everywhere else, we have good numbers, but not enough quality,” Glasner said.

With the transfer window closing soon, the pressure is now on Chairman Steve Parish and the recruitment team to deliver.
