AS Roma are intensifying their transfer pursuits, with talks underway for two high-profile wingers: Chelsea’s Tyrique George and Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho.
The Serie A side’s initial £20m bid for Sancho has stalled due to the player’s reluctance to lower his £250,000-a-week wages, prompting Roma to explore alternative targets. George, a 19-year-old Chelsea prospect, has emerged as a viable option, with initial contact made in July and renewed discussions this week.
Chelsea are open to a permanent move with a sell-on clause, though RB Leipzig and Premier League clubs also show interest. Meanwhile, Roma haven’t ruled out revisiting Sancho, with coach Gian Piero Gasperini pushing for a resolution before the August 31, 2025, deadline.
