Newcastle Target Wissa Releases Bombshell Statement Demanding Brentford Exit

Brentford striker Yoane Wissa has publicly demanded a transfer to Newcastle United in a dramatic Instagram statement, accusing the Bees of reneging on a promise to let him leave this summer. The 28-year-old, who scored 19 Premier League goals last season, claims Brentford agreed in writing that he could depart if a reasonable offer was received.

Newcastle has had multiple bids, including a recent £35m plus add-ons offer, rejected, with Brentford reportedly now demanding £65m. Wissa, who has not featured for Brentford this season amid the transfer saga, expressed frustration, stating, "The promise that I could leave this summer has not been fulfilled."

He emphasized his professionalism and respect for the club but urged Brentford's owners to honor their commitment before the transfer window closes on Monday at 7pm. This development could pave the way for Newcastle to secure Wissa, potentially facilitating a move for their own wantaway star, Alexander Isak, to Liverpool.
