Maresca Hints at New Striker Signing After Delap Injury

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has indicated that the club may dip into the transfer market for a new striker following a significant injury blow to Liam Delap. The 22-year-old forward, who suffered a hamstring injury during Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Fulham, is expected to be sidelined for at least six to eight weeks.

Maresca addressed the situation in a post-match press conference, stating that the team will assess their options, saying, "We will see whether we need to enter the striker market after losing Liam Delap to his hamstring injury."

This comes amid Chelsea's scramble for reinforcements, with reports of multiple inquiries for Sporting CP's Conrad Harder as a potential replacement. Delap's absence adds pressure to Chelsea's attacking lineup as they navigate a busy fixture schedule in the Premier League and Champions League.
