Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has reassured fans that the club will not enter the season without a recognized striker, despite uncertainty surrounding Alexander Isak’s future.
Isak remains linked with Liverpool, but Howe insists the club’s ownership won’t allow a sale without a replacement. “We certainly can’t go through the season with no recognized striker,” Howe said. With Callum Wilson gone and Will Osula still developing, Newcastle are actively pursuing Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.
