Rasmus Højlund was left out of Manchester United’s squad for the second straight match, as Napoli intensify efforts to sign the Danish striker.
Napoli are preparing a final offer, with talks reportedly involving Højlund’s father. The 22-year-old is said to be open to the move, drawn by Champions League football and a leading role under Antonio Conte.
United are willing to accept a loan with an obligation to buy, with figures around £34M plus £4M in fees under discussion.
