Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi will start in Thursday’s UEFA Conference League play-off against Fredrikstad, despite ongoing transfer speculation.
Tottenham are in advanced talks to sign Eze, while Liverpool remain interested in Guehi, who has just one year left on his contract. But Glasner insists both players are “committed to the team” and will play a “crucial part” as long as they remain at Selhurst Park.
“They want to leave as the guys who always gave 100 per cent,” Glasner said. “That’s what they’ve done since they signed, and that’s what we expect until the end of their contracts.”
Palace were demoted from the Europa League due to UEFA’s multi-club ownership rules, but Glasner says the team is focused on enjoying their first taste of European football at home.
