Flick Shuts Down Transfer Rumors: “We Need Every Player” at Barcelona

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has made it clear he does not want any unexpected departures from his squad, despite the club’s financial pressure and openness to offers for several players.

Speaking ahead of Barça’s clash with Levante, Flick addressed speculation surrounding Marc Casadó, Ronald Araújo, Andreas Christensen, and Fermín López. “I spoke with Casadó, and I don’t think he wants to leave. I also want to have him here because it will be a tough season. We need every player we have now,” Flick said.

The German coach emphasized squad unity and depth, especially after the departure of Iñigo Martínez to the Saudi Pro League. With Christensen and Araújo now vital to the backline, Flick is determined to keep his core intact.

“I don’t want to lose any players now,” he added. “We try to achieve a lot this season, and this is why we need every player.”

Despite the board’s interest in generating funds to meet La Liga’s financial regulations, Flick’s stance signals a firm commitment to maintaining squad strength as Barcelona chases domestic and European success.
