Everton are on the verge of completing a £42 million deal to sign Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, with personal terms agreed and a medical expected early next week.
The 19-year-old England youth international made 33 Premier League appearances last season, scoring twice and showcasing his potential despite Southampton’s relegation battle. The deal includes £6 million in achievable add-ons and a 20% sell-on clause.
Dibling had been linked with several top-flight clubs, but Everton moved swiftly to secure his signature after Southampton softened their initial stance. Manager David Moyes has been vocal about the need for attacking reinforcements, and Dibling is expected to slot directly into the first-team setup.
“He’s one of the most exciting young talents in England,” a source close to the club said. “This is a statement signing for Everton.”
The move marks Everton’s eighth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Jack Grealish, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Carlos Alcaraz. With the Premier League season underway, Dibling could make his debut in the Carabao Cup against Mansfield Town on August 27.
