Borussia Dortmund Close to Signing Wolves Forward Fabio Silva

Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of securing a deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ forward Fabio Silva, with negotiations nearing completion as the transfer window deadline looms.
The 23-year-old Portuguese striker, who joined Wolves for a then-club-record £35m from Porto in 2020, is set to move to the Bundesliga side for a fee around €25m (£21.6m), with ongoing discussions focusing on payment structure and potential bonuses.
Silva, who has struggled to cement a regular role at Molineux, impressed during a loan spell at Las Palmas last season, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in 25 La Liga matches.
Dortmund, seeking a backup for their primary striker Serhou Guirassy, view Silva as a promising talent with untapped potential, especially given their reputation for reviving young careers.
Despite interest from RB Leipzig, AS Roma, and other European clubs, Dortmund has taken the lead, having reportedly offered Silva a five-year contract. Wolves, who have already seen several high-profile departures this summer, including Matheus Cunha and Rayan Aït-Nouri, are keen to maximize their return on Silva, whose contract expires in 2026.
With Newcastle’s recent £50m bid for Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen rejected, the potential loss of Silva could further strain their attacking options, raising concerns about squad depth under manager Vitor Pereira
