Birmingham City have officially secured the loan signing of Liverpool winger Lewis Koumas for the 2025–26 season, adding pace and attacking depth to their Championship campaign.
The 19-year-old Welsh international arrives after a productive spell at Stoke City, where he made 49 appearances and scored six goals. Koumas, son of former Wales star Jason Koumas, made his senior debut for Liverpool in the FA Cup last season—scoring in a 3-0 win over Southampton.
Speaking to Birmingham’s club media, Koumas said, “There was lots of interest, but after speaking to the gaffer and hearing about the project, I knew this was the right move. I want to prove what I can do—score goals and get assists.”
Liverpool fans will be watching closely as Koumas continues his development, while Birmingham hopes his arrival can spark a push toward the playoff spots.
