Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed fears that Bukayo Saka may have suffered a “significant” hamstring injury during the Gunners’ 5–0 win over Leeds. Saka scored Arsenal’s second goal but pulled up without contact in the 54th minute and was replaced by Leandro Trossard.
“It’s not the same hamstring as last time, but for Bukayo to come off, it looks significant,” Arteta said. With Martin Ødegaard also forced off with a shoulder issue and Kai Havertz already sidelined, Arsenal’s injury list is growing ahead of key fixtures against Liverpool, Newcastle, and Manchester City.
