Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Belgian forward Leandro Trossard will remain at the club this season, ending speculation of a potential summer exit.
Trossard, 30, had been linked with a move away from the Emirates, with interest from Turkish side Fenerbahçe and several Premier League clubs. However, Arteta revealed that the situation has been “resolved in a really great way,” with the player set to sign a new contract that improves his terms while keeping him tied to Arsenal until 2027.
“I’m really, really happy with Leo,” Arteta said. “Good players always have options to go. Leo was very clear from the beginning that he wanted to be here, and the club was very clear they wanted him here. I was very clear I wanted him here. So at the end, it’s a good outcome.”
Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023 and has since become a reliable contributor across the frontline, scoring 19 goals in 74 appearances. His versatility and creativity have made him a key figure in Arteta’s evolving squad.
With Arsenal closing in on the signing of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, Trossard’s confirmed stay adds further depth to a team that Arteta now calls “the best Arsenal squad of my reign.”
