Alexander Isak Named in Sweden Squad for September World Cup

Newcastle United’s star striker Alexander Isak has been named in Sweden’s national team squad for the upcoming September World Cup qualifiers, despite ongoing transfer speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool.

The 25-year-old, who has been a standout performer in the Premier League, is expected to lead the line for Sweden in their crucial matches. Isak’s inclusion comes amid his public desire to leave Newcastle, with a £110m bid from Liverpool rejected and the player reportedly training separately. His focus will now shift to international duty, where he aims to help Sweden secure qualification, adding to his 13 goals in 47 caps for his country.
