Ballon d'Or: England's Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Cole Palmer nominated
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi do not make the shortlist for the first time since 2003; Lamine Yamal, a 17-year-old from Barcelona and Spain, surpasses Kylian Mbappe to become the youngest nominee ever; Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are competing for the Kopa Trophy.
The nominees for the men's Ballon d'Or include England players Declan Rice, Cole Palmer, Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Bukayo Saka.
The 17-year-old Lamine Yamal of Barcelona, who assisted Spain in defeating England in the European championship, has emerged as the award's youngest-ever nominee. He exceeds the 18-year-old record-holder, Kylian Mbappe.
Both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have won all but one of the previous 14 Ballon d'Or awards, have failed to receive a nomination for the first time since 2003.
Along with their England colleagues, Man City and Arsenal have each received four nominations, including Rodri, Erling Haaland, Ruben Dias, William Saliba, and Martin Odegaard.
The other Premier League players on the list are Chelsea's Palmer and Aston Villa's Emi Martinez, who took home the trophy for best goalkeeper from the previous season.
Ademola Lookman of Atalanta, who defeated Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final of the previous season by scoring a hat-trick, is included on the 30-player shortlist. Granit Xhaka of Leverkusen is also on the list.
Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, two adolescent players for Manchester United, are up for the Kopa Trophy, which goes to the finest player under the age of twenty-one.
Savinho, the latest addition to City, and Yamal, the phenomenon from Barcelona and Spain, are also vying for the Cup.
Coach of the Year: After leading City to an unprecedented fourth consecutive Premier League title, Pep Guardiola is a candidate for coach of the year.
Along with Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso and Spain manager Luis de la Fuente, he has opposition from Real Madrid's 15-time Champions League winner, Carlo Ancelotti.
